IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NEW MEETING DATES & TIMES

Last November, we emailed a survey out to our members asking for input on whether the Allen County Neighborhoods Association should change its meeting days and times beginning in 2018. This was due to several complaints we had received about the lack of convenient parking because of City Council meetings being on the same date and time as ACNA. We have tabulated and reviewed the survey results and have come to the following conclusions:

  1. The overwhelming majority of respondents (81%) favor moving the time of the meetings back a half-hour, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m.
  2. As to the question of holding the meetings on either the third Tuesday or fourth Thursday of each quarter, the results were almost split evenly. We discussed this and determined that if we truly want to avoid conflicting with any City Council meetings, it would be best to move ACNA meetings to Thursdays.

Therefore beginning with 2018, ACNA meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday of each respective quarter and run from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Citizens Square Omni Room. That means the new meeting dates for 2018 will be:

  • January 25
  • April 26
  • July 26
  • October 25

Change of this kind is never convenient for everyone and we know some of you will have some conflicts with this new schedule. We are hoping by getting this information to you now, most of you will be able to rearrange schedules so you can continue to attend. We sincerely value your participation and hope you will let us know of other changes or ideas for making our meetings more convenient and relevant as you move forward making your respective associations the best they can be.
